Have you ever stopped and reflected on your life? When you were young, did you think you could do anything and go anywhere? These are thoughts that came to me today and that's why I decided to write a blog. I'm not sure where this is going to lead me, but I'll let the Lord determine that.

As a young girl, I loved horses (and still do and have two) and dreamed of one day growing up and marrying a cowboy. It sounds silly now, but when you're young, you can dream about whatever you choose and not worry what others might say if you share your dreams with them.

By way of introduction, my husband and I are fortunate to live in the country. We have been blessed with lots of grandchildren...29 to be exact and also 4 great grandchildren. Like many families today, ours is a blended family of 9 children. They all have their own dreams and aspirations. But some, quite frankly, seem to be living only in the moment with no specific plans or goals for the future--just coasting through life.

Praying for your children and grandchildren is the BEST thing you can ever do for them. But letting them know they are special; that you love them; that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to; encouraging them to always do their best, and by challenging them to never give up, are the most important things you can do for them. It will help shape their lives and you just may inspire them to become the person they never thought they could be.
